Portrait of Robert Bosch

Our history

In 1886, Robert Bosch founded the “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering” in Stuttgart. This was the birth of today‘s globally operating company. Right from the start, it was characterized by innovative strength and social commitment.

We take responsibility

By acting in an economically, environmentally, and socially responsible manner, we want to improve people’s quality of life and safeguard the livelihoods of present and future generations. Our sustainability strategy is based on concrete objectives in all focus areas. For many years now, we have been consistently working to realise those objectives — and we have reached a key milestone with carbon neutrality.
