Bosch Sri Lanka proudly marked a significant milestone-10 years of excellence, innovation, and partnership-with the Bosch Tech Day 2025, held on 4th November 2025 under the theme ‘Transforming a Decade. Inspiring the Future. The event showcased Bosch’s technological leadership and reinforced the company’s long-term commitment to accelerating Sri Lanka’s journey towards a smart and sustainable future.
The exhibition featured cutting-edge solutions from all four Bosch business sectors - Mobility, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy & Building Technology - reflecting the company’s strengths across industries. Represented divisions included BSH, HVAC, Rexroth, Mobility Aftermarket, MPS, BGSW, BT-Fire, Power Tools, and Sustainability, each presenting innovative technologies and future-ready applications.
The Tech Zone was ceremonially inaugurated by Mr. Hanif Yusoof, Governor of the Western Province and President’s Special Envoy for Foreign Investments in Sri Lanka. His presence underscored the importance of technological development and industry collaboration in the country’s economic transformation
Guests were welcomed by Mr. Sandeep Kamat, Managing Director of Robert Bosch Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, who highlighted Bosch’s decade-long journey in Sri Lanka. Mr. Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of Bosch Group India and South Asia, delivered an inspiring address reaffirming Bosch’s commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and skill development in Sri Lanka.
In a special video message, Mr. Stefan Grosch, Member of the Board of Management and Director of Industrial Relations, Robert Bosch GmbH, extended his warm wishes on the anniversary and commended Bosch Sri Lanka’s contribution to the region’s growth.
A key highlight of the day was the presence of Mr. Chaminda Vaas, Sri Lankan cricket legend, who shared valuable insights on discipline, focus, and leadership-values deeply aligned with Bosch’s culture.

- An expert panel discussion on “Accelerating Sri Lanka’s Vision 2030: Building a Smart, Inclusive Digital & Mobility Ecosystem”
- Bosch Tech Summit 2025, where students from the University of Moratuwa presented pioneering AI and mobility innovations
Bosch Sri Lanka - 10th year anniversary Gala Night Celebration
Bosch Sri Lanka celebrated a decade of innovation, growth, and partnership with a grand Gala Night held on 4th November 2025. The prestigious event brought together government dignitaries, industry leaders, Bosch’s regional leadership, business partners, and well-wishers to commemorate ten years of impactful operations in Sri Lanka.
The evening commenced with the inauguration of the Tech Zone by
- Chief Guest: Hon. Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena, Minister of Science & Technology, Government of Sri Lanka
- Guest of Honour: H.E. Dr. Felix Neumann, German Ambassador to Sri Lanka
- Special Guest: Hon. Sunil Handunneththi, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship
Following the opening, Mr. Sandeep Kamat, Managing Director of Robert Bosch Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, delivered a warm welcome address, expressing appreciation to employees, partners, and stakeholders who have shaped Bosch’s journey in Sri Lanka.

As we step into the next decade, Bosch Sri Lanka remains committed to driving transformation, innovation, and skill development to inspire the future.”
Delivering a special address, Mr. Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of Bosch Group India and South Asia, emphasized Bosch’s dedication to driving innovation, digitisation, and sustainability in Sri Lanka.

Key Speeches from Distinguished Guest
At the event, Science and Technology Minister of Sri Lanka, Hon. Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena, articulated a bold national ambition, to transform the nation towards a "modern, technology driven economy." He emphasized expanding R&D and fostering deep collaboration between government, academia, and industry as the roadmap ahead.
This, he noted, will be key to ensuring Sri Lanka evolves from a "technology consumer to a technology creator and exporter." The Minister cited Bosch’s investment as a prime example of how "global expertise and local capability” can combine to drive this national transformation. He highlighted that such contributions go "beyond advanced technologies" to help "cultivate an ecosystem that strengthens industries, develops skills, and aligns Sri Lanka with global standards."
Delivering a keynote address, German Ambassador to Sri Lanka H.E. Dr. Felix Neumann German Ambassador to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Dr. Felix Neumann highlighted the "long standing partnership of over seven decades between Germany and Sri Lanka." He explained that this friendship is guided by the three key pillars of Germany’s new foreign policy: security, freedom, and prosperity.
He noted that through cooperation in trade, investment, and sustainable development, both countries can continue to strengthen the foundations of mutual growth, reflecting the very essence of these pillars.
A heartfelt tribute was presented to Mr. Navaneetha Krishnan, Former Managing Director of Bosch Lanka, honouring his foundational leadership and contributions to the company’s growth trajectory.
The night concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Praseedh Philip, Head of Mobility Aftermarket, Bosch Sri Lanka, followed by an evening of entertainment, fellowship, and celebration-capturing the spirit of unity, innovation, and future-driven purpose that defines Bosch.
The 10th Anniversary Gala Night not only honored Bosch Sri Lanka’s achievements over the past decade but also reaffirmed its commitment to shaping a technologically advanced and sustainable future for the country.
